The District will have its fifth of six planned meetings for the Long Range Master Facilities Planning Committee on Wednesday, February 1st at 7:00 p.m. at Stayton High School in the library. This process represents a new approach to the District’s facilities. First, the District is making a concerted effort to engage members of all local communities in the process—not just school parents, but all viewpoints in the various communities. |

The North Santiam School District received a grant from the Oregon Community Foundation to run a six week summer pilot program offering students in the Santiam Canyon a chance to increase their learning opportunities in Math and Reading. This pilot program is a start to a community schools program that the district hopes to implement in the Fall of 2011, pending grant funding. |
