On December 17, 2009 the Board reluctantly accepted the resignation of Dr. Jack Adams effective June 30, 2010. Dr. Adams has been the Superintendent of North Santiam School District since June of 2006 and has decided to retire after 38 years in education with 32 continuous years as a superintendent.  The Board chose to do an in-district search because of the high level of candidates within the District.  On February 17th the Board offered the job to Andy Gardner, the current principal of Stayton Intermediate/Middle School.  Between now and the end of the school year, Dr. Adams will have the opportunity to transition with Andy and make decisions on administrative changes in the district.  Andy takes over as the new Superintendent of North Santiam School District on July 1, 2010.
